First Trip to Universal Studios, Florida

This was the first vacation my boyfriend and I have ever shared. We stayed for 6 days and 5 nights.

We booked the B Resort Hotel, on hotels.com; after many revisitations on the site to check for price changes from the "Your Secret Price" reveal.

So summer is the worst time to go to FL, it rains a lot and it's the peak season of tourism.

Prior to going, I looked up cooking in hotel rooms:

Now here's to what actually transpired....

Day 01, went to BJ's wholesale and the Dollar Tree and stocked up on inventory/groceries for the week. (Kept the food cost at about $120)
Bought some ready made rotisserie (whole) chicken, bread, juice, individually packaged snacks (granola bars) - won't spoil in the heat, fruits (peaches and bananas) and instant noodles!

Day 02,  toured the hotel we were staying at, getting ourselves familiarized with their facility. I took pictures of restaurant, cafe, and pool hours for ease of usage down the line.
It was also my friend, Franny's birthday... so we spent the afternoon into the evening at her place with her family. I made them fried rice for dinner and we were going to go miniature golfing until it started to pouring. The rain kind of ruined our evening plans.

Day 03, walked from out hotel to Disney Springs (30mins walk) ; and regretted not coming out the night prior since they are opened until 2AM. And the place is huge! and no admissions needed. Then we took a cab to Boston Lobster Feast (AYCE lobsters, crab legs and etc etc) But the cab driver hustled us, he took the long route and doubled our fare. (Mears Taxi)
After dinner, we decide to order LYFT instead of hailing a taxi ever again while here. And then we discovered they have a "Trust and service fee" added to each ride, and it's supposedly for "our safety" But Florida just had a shooting; shouldn't they be paying me???
Anyways, after returning to our hotel, showered and etc; We took  the shuttle from the hotel to Disney Springs (The shuttle was more than every 30mins.) and ended up in a different side of it? It was just completely different from what we saw the day before. We tried the AMC Dine-in movie theater (they have a full bar!), since we don't have these in NYC. The movie we saw was "The Purge: Election Year"

Day 04, We started on the main event ! the whole purpose of our vacation.... Hogwarts!
Universal Studios 2 Day theme park ticket with Express Pass.....
American Express Credit card ...signed up and got 2 dinning cards for free. And it offers 10% off per $75 purchase in the souvenir shops (some stores limited, check with Universal Studios App, or org. paperwork.)

To be continued....
