Baked Goods

Whole foods baked goods haul

Crème brûlée:
It was too sweet overall.
It's nice to have a red ceramic little tray to keep however. The sugar on top completely melted and it wasn't hard and crispy as it should be. The vanilla cream filling was kind of nice still. I just wish the flavor was more balanced and more evenly spread throughout the whole dessert itself.

Yuzu cupcake:
Most of the flavor was the frosting and the little sour flavor cream filling in the middle
The cupcake cake itself was a little bit like cornbread ish...
It wasn't all that at all. It's actually a sad excuse for a cupcake. It tried to model the flavor a little bit after key lime but kind of disappointing little hint of yuzu flavor itself. Otherwise I wouldn't go for this at all whatsoever.

Oreo cheesecake:
The only thing that tastes good about it is the whip cream on top.
And the only way to salvage this thing as a cheesecake itself is if you eat the cheesecake section by itself or with the whipped cream on top, but completely abandoned the brown section on the bottom that's usually made with graham crackers but they used as brown thing (chocolate cake or brownie thing? While trying to give the cookie appearance ) That tastes god awful by itself and as a combination which ruined the whole thing.
The Oreo cheesecake itself
A is to dry
 B taste like crap
The flavor of the cake itself can't even surpass Oreo cookie or Oreo chocolate from Hershey's which is just sad.
The Oreo cheesecake itself almost reminded me of some powdered pill medicine I've had before. Is mostly from the bottom base part that's usually used with graham cracker but this brown thing I don't know what they use which is completely awful.

This thing just put a whole bunch of frown lines on my forehead and my eyebrows

Regular mini cheesecake with strawberry on top:
cheesecake tasted okay but then had a weird after taste.
It's whatever that they use as the base beneath the cream cheese part again. I think they try to recycle whatever that they try to use for carrot cake. So it has that weird flavor mix, that just shouldn't go together. It's either that or they didn't clean their tools properly. And just use their right after.

Anise star after taste

Raspberry cheesecake:

Tastes pretty good
More on the Sour side for the creme cheese layer,
Thicker Whipped creme icing that goes really well with it. And all 3 layers actually works together.

White chocolate square thing
Too sweet, thin cake layers super dry inside.
Just not good. As always, only the cream icing in between is remotely redeeming.

For mini fruit tarts:

Raspberry tart:

Sour lemon zest filling, so you'll definitely have an eye cringing moment since there's nothing else to alleviate the sourness. The raspberry on top is off season so it's even more sour than the lemon zest filling. This is not the best balanced pastry combination, but if you want something that just might make you want to cry, this is definitely a winner!

Blueberry tart with almond slices on top:

A very dense, almond coconutty tasting filling, within almost sandy like texture to it. That is sweet. So this is definitely a nice change from all the sour eye cringing lemon tasting fillings. It goes really well with the glaze slices of almond. It actually brings up some nostalgia of some childhood pastries. Even though this little tart doesn't come off as anything special, but it'll kind of feel like a comfort food

Raspberry blueberry with strawberry on top:
The custard is a thicker and sweeter consistency, almost gooey like. But because it's also yellow, I almost thought it was a lemon filling again, but it's not sour. It's sweet, thank god. So this is a sweet tart. Pretty plain and simple sweet fruit tart. Nothing to ride home about but it's okay like a plain Jane kind of thing.

Whipped cream and lemon tart:

The lemon flavor is very sour so if anyone who isn't ready for the eye cringing flavor should avoid it.
But anyone who does enjoy the sour flavor will really love it! This tart is actually really well balanced from the nice whipped cream topping to the lemon filling and to the custer outter layer.
It's best to eat all three layers together if you want it to be less sour. But if you enjoyed the extra sourness, eat the middle by itself.

The large fruit tart:
Love all the fresh variety of fruits on top of this soft, lightly Sweetened, egg custard
